The ‘Miami Fashion Movement’ is a dynamic initiative encapsulating the remarkable journey Istituto Marangoni Miami’s fashion design and styling students undertake. These talented individuals are at the forefront of the fashion world, participating in prestigious Fashion Weeks across Latin America, including Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Guatemala, and even Palm Springs. Through this extraordinary experience, our fashion design students learn how to launch a collection, from crafting mood boards to presenting their designs on the runway.
Moreover, they have the invaluable opportunity to connect and network with industry professionals from around the globe, forging connections that can shape their future careers. In parallel, our fashion styling students collaborate closely with these emerging fashion design professionals, ensuring that both outfits and models are runway-ready for these grand showcases. COMPETITIONS
At Istituto Marangoni Miami, we believe in providing our students with real-world experiences that go beyond the classroom. One way we do this is through participating in fashion and design competitions in collaboration with leading brands from the industry. These competitions offer students the opportunity to put their skills to the test and gain valuable insights into the dynamics of the fashion market. From upcycling challenges with brands like Salvatore Ferragamo to sustainable swimwear design challenges at Miami Swim Week, our students tackle diverse and innovative projects that push the boundaries of creativity and innovation.
Competitions with renowned brands such as Halston, Regia Magazine, Sprayground in New York Fashion Week, and Alexandre Birman in a show design challenge provide students with unique opportunities to showcase their talents and gain exposure in the industry. Through these competitions, students refine their design skills and cultivate invaluable industry connections and experiences, equipping them for successful careers in fashion and design.
