MIAMI, FL, NOVEMBER 27, 2023 – Members of the Rage, the ready-to-wear design venture founded by Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi (also known as Kid Cudi) announce a partnership with fashion, art, and design school, Istituto Marangoni Miami (IMM) for Miami Design Week 2023.

The partnership will feature a panel discussion and a pop-up supported by luxury multi-brand retailer The Webster. The panel discussion, moderated by Keanan Duffty, Marangoni’s Dean of Fashion, will see Mescudi in conversation with The Webster Founder and CEO, Laure Hériard Dubreuil on topics such as creativity, intuition, and navigating the intersection of brands and retail in today’s industry.

After the panel discussion, IMM will honor Mescudi with an honorary Master’s degree in Fashion Design, in recognition of his outstanding contributions and influence in the industry. This gesture is a celebration of his remarkable achievements and his role as a visionary in shaping the landscape of modern fashion and luxury.

The fully purchasable pop-up spotlighting the Members of the Rage AW23 Collection will be on display at IMM from December 4th to 15th, with all proceeds from sales going to the IMM Scholarship fund. “At Istituto Marangoni Miami, we aspire to redefine fashion and luxury. Kid Cudi’s modern vision epitomizes today’s zeitgeist – the inspiration we instill in our students to challenge conventions and push boundaries,” Hakan Baykam, president and CEO of IMM.

The Webster will in tandem have a supporting window installation live from December 4th through the 9th at the Bal Harbour Shops boutique, with 10% percent of proceeds from Members of the Rage sales going towards the Istituto Marangoni Student Scholarship Fund.

“It is such an honor to be a part of an incredible partnership with Members of the Rage and Istituto Marangoni Miami. With Miami being our founding city, it is important that we champion young talents who continue to evolve our industry creatively and challenge us to be more sustainable and diverse. I have always admired Scott’s thoughtful and intuitive approach to his craft in all aspects of his career. He has been a trailblazer for fusing the industries of fashion, music, and film inspiring so many with his unparalleled lens,” says Laure Hériard Dubreuil, Founder and CEO of The Webster.

About Members of the Rage

Designed by Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, also known as Kid Cudi, Members Of The Rage is a Ready-To-Wear collection for outsiders everywhere, designed in Los Angeles and Made In Italy. “Members of the Rage started off as this idea for a movie that I want to write, and I’m probably still going to write it at some point. It’s about a band of survivors that get together to stop an alien invasion. The survivors are like rebels – they’re all outcasts from society.” – Scott Mescudi

About The Webster

Laure Heriard Dubreuil opened The Webster’s flagship location in 2009 at 1220 Collins Avenue in South Beach, Miami. Originally the Webster Hotel, the 20,000-square-foot Art Deco building was built in 1939 by architect Henry Hohauser. Heriard Dubreuil, who grew up in Paris and worked as a top merchandiser for Balenciaga and Yves Saint Laurent before founding The Webster, kept the name but reimagined the three-story interior as a women’s and men’s multi-brand luxury retailer designed with vibrant intimacy to resemble a residential space.

“The idea was a place where you can feel very comfortable,” says Heriard Dubreuil of The Webster’s concept. “It’s a place to spend time. You arrive, you take off your shoes, you’re at someone’s house, or you’re in your gigantic closet, and you can try everything.” Rather than organize the store according to brand, Heriard Dubreuil merchandised it as if it were a personal wardrobe, mixing big brands with the emerging, arranging everything intuitively by mood, which was revolutionary at the time. Her instinctive, warm touch lured an impressive brand matrix, including Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Celine, Saint Laurent, and loyal customers.

A decade after the Miami flagship opened, The Webster has expanded to nine additional flagship locations in Bal Harbour, Houston, Costa Mesa, New York City, Los Angeles, Montecito at the Rosewood Miramar Beach, Toronto, Palm Springs, and most recently, New Jersey as well as an annual pop-up in Palm Beach. Each store has its own distinctive energy, unified by Heriard Dubreuil’s uncompromising vision of good energy, good fashion, good fun, and Miami’s sunny spirit. The retailer has become a destination for exclusive collaborations with brands such as Marine Serre, Bottega Veneta, and Canada Goose, and permanent partnerships with David Mallett and Augustinus Bader, who both operate studios out of The Webster’s SoHo location. thewebster.com @thewebster @thewebsterman
