Through The Miami School of Fashion and Design’s Portfolio Experience: Fashion Styling and Business course, which offers a holistic approach to developing important abilities in fashion styling and business, students can build a full understanding of these subjects. Students will gain a thorough understanding of basic skills such as trend research, visual storytelling, wardrobe curation, and business planning in this intensive course. The course has two levels for those looking to enhance their knowledge in the field. At Istituto Marangoni Miami, sustainability is ingrained in every facet of the curriculum as a fundamental concept. Through practical projects and discussions, students get insight into sustainable fashion practices and learn how to incorporate them into their styling and business strategies. Students must turn in a final fashion styling and business portfolio, exhibiting their creative styling ideas and well-thought-out company proposals, for college applications upon program completion.

Our Fashion Styling and Business Portfolio course equips students with a broad range of abilities necessary for success in the fast-paced worlds of fashion styling and business. Students gain competency in core skills including trend analysis, wardrobe curation, and visual storytelling throughout the curriculum, equipping them for success in the cutthroat fashion industry. They get in-depth understanding of sustainability principles and strategic business planning, which are crucial for negotiating the contemporary fashion scene. Students also delve into the nuances of crafting a strong college portfolio, learning how to present their company ideas and design concepts to potential employers or schools. Students finish the program with a thorough portfolio that not only showcases their artistic ability but also shows that they are prepared to continue their study or pursue a career in business and fashion styling.

Our campus at Istituto Marangoni Miami is housed in a modern, seven-story building right in the center of the Design District. Each level is made to meet the various needs of our students and offer an atmosphere that fosters creativity and learning. Theory rooms, a photographic studio with cameras and accessories, an atelier for practical design work, and computer laboratories filled with industry-standard programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign—as well as Clo3D for digital design—are just a few of our many resources. Students also have access to an abundance of resources that can help them advance both academically and professionally. One of these is a large physical and virtual library with all the study resources and essential references.

How To Apply

To apply to Istituto Marangoni Miami pre-college courses you must be 15 years or above, or still studying in high school. If you meet the requirements, complete your online registration. After this, students must submit a copy of their ID and their Resume to complete their student file. Upon completion of your registration, more information on enrollment, schedules, and housing options, will be sent to you prior to your class start.

Beyond only offering standard academic enrichment, our Portfolio Experience Fashion Styling and Business program offers a holistic platform for talent development and professional success in the fashion sector. Apart from acquiring proficiency in fashion styling and business principles, students also acquire a profound comprehension of the forces influencing the fashion industry, which empowers them to identify their actual interests. Building A Fashion Portfolio

A fashion student portfolio is the main objective of this program. This is a major component of our Pre-College Opportunities since it helps prepare students for fashion college. Throughout the course of the program, students apply their newly acquired knowledge in fashion illustration and other disciplines to real-world projects. Under the guidance of experts in the field, students receive constructive feedback and direction to refine their garment portfolio, ensuring that they showcase their finest work and demonstrate their readiness for college and beyond. Students who build their portfolios using this customized method acquire the abilities and confidence needed to be successful in their academic and career endeavors.

College Admissions Advantage

After finishing one of our pre-college courses, students who want to enroll in undergraduate programs are immediately assigned college credit hours and get a partial scholarship. This unique advantage puts students in a good position during the challenging admissions process and gives them a head start on their academic career. In addition, our faculty mentors provide invaluable guidance, helping students polish their skills and build their portfolios to make an impression on college admissions officers.
