Within interior design education, students are exposed to diverse teaching methods to cultivate a deep understanding of the discipline, from foundational principles to advanced technological applications. Our Interior Design Level 3 program adopts a dynamic instructional approach, integrating traditional lectures, interactive workshops, and immersive studio sessions. Emphasizing collaborative studio-based learning, students harness sophisticated digital tools to bring their design visions to life. Additionally, field trips provide firsthand exposure to industry practices and technology applications in real-world contexts. Students enhance their knowledge of modern interior design in Level 3, further exploring the field through in-depth investigation, insightful critique, and creative conceptualization. With an emphasis on evidence-based design techniques, students gain the ability to analyze, assess, and clearly and insightfully articulate the conclusions they have drawn from the work of leading practitioners. Students will learn about lighting design, developing their technical documentation abilities and learning how to create dynamic and sustainable environments. Through practical assignments and sophisticated workshops on digital design, learners fully utilize CAD software to generate complex 2D drawings and lifelike 3D models that meet industrial requirements. Ultimately, Level 3 equips students with a comprehensive understanding of contemporary interior design principles and practices, preparing them to tackle complex design challenges confidently and creatively.

How To Apply
How To Apply

If you want to apply to our 11-Week Level Courses in Interior Design, the first step in the admissions process would be the online application. Once completed, you’ll receive a detailed email with all the instructions to continue with your registration, including how to submit your documents and, if necessary, apply for a visa. Our Designated School Official (DSO) will provide additional support to international students during the visa application process. After completing your registration, you will receive information regarding orientation, housing possibilities, and other matters.

CURRICULUM

Level 3 of the Interior Design program, titled “Contemporary Design Synergy Unit,” showcases the foundational concepts and techniques introduced in previous levels while challenging students to engage with contemporary design theories, practices, and technologies, preparing them to navigate the complexities of the modern design landscape with confidence and creativity. Students study various subjects and fields in Level 3, including lighting design, digital modeling, sustainability, research, and concept development. The program, which emphasizes a comprehensive approach to design education, pushes students to combine theoretical understanding with real-world application, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Through hands-on design challenges and projects, students enhance their capacity to comprehend intricate design issues, devise innovative solutions, and proficiently convey their concepts to a wide range of listeners. Furthermore, students can collaborate with peers, business professionals, and community stakeholders through Level 3’s strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration and professional growth.

RESEARCH AND CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Students in this course explore the essential role that analysis and research play in producing modern interior design projects. DESIGN PROJECT II

Design Project II encourages students to compare and critically assess the work of chosen interior designers, building on the knowledge and abilities they have gained in earlier design courses. Students investigate different design techniques, styles, and philosophies through in-depth research and analysis, finding significant influences and trends. After that, they use the information they’ve gathered to create their design concepts, which they then present verbally and visually. In order to prepare students to confidently and clearly explain their design concepts, this course strongly emphasizes the value of excellent communication and presentation techniques throughout the design process.

In this lab-based course, students apply the methodological approach learned throughout the program to develop interior design projects. Students work individually or in teams to tackle real-world design challenges, integrating research, concept development, and technical skills to create comprehensive design proposals. ADVANCED DIGITAL DESIGN

This course teaches students how to use CAD software for 2D drafting and 3D modeling as digital tools continue to transform the interior design industry. She has been a design educator in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of interior architecture, landscape architecture, furniture design, product and interface design, industrial design, and studio art programs in the US, Singapore, Japan, and the Philippines. She has professionally practiced for over ten years, covering luxury residential design, commercial offices, hospitality spaces, trade shows, and military buildings in various parts of the world. She received her Ph.D. in Design Science and Planning from Chiba University, Japan, with a Japanese Ministry of Education scholarship. How do I enroll in the 11-Week Level Courses?
To begin your enrollment process in our programs, arrange a meeting with our admissions staff to discuss program details and requirements. Following this discussion, you can submit your online application, with the USD 1000 registration fee deducted from the total tuition. Alongside your application, you will be required to provide the following admission documents: identification, a resume, an English test, a bank statement, and a sponsor letter, if necessary. You will receive comprehensive guidance via email following the meeting with your admissions specialist, who will guide you through the process.
Can international students enroll in the 11-Week Programs offered at Istituto Marangoni Miami?
International students have the opportunity to register for an 11-week course as a component of our One Year Vocational Program. We facilitate the M1 visa for students in need of a student visa. Our Designated School Official will assist you with the visa process to simplify the admissions procedure following your application.
What are the requirements to register for Interior Design Level 3?
Students cannot enroll in level 3 without previously taking the level 2 courses of the interior design program. If you are at an advanced interior design level, a portfolio review is required for entry into Level 4. Based on the outcome of the portfolio review conducted by our Academic Committee, exceptions may be considered.
