In Level 2 of the Fashion Styling Vocational Program, our teaching approach goes beyond an introduction to fashion styling and into image development. It provides students with an in-depth exploration of fashion communication in the digital world. Students gain insights into new media platforms like websites, blogs, and social networks. This immersive study equips students with the essential skills to navigate and make the most of the latest trends and technologies, crucial for effective communication in today’s fashion industry. Students participate in collaborative projects that echo real-world fashion styling challenges, nurturing teamwork and creative problem-solving skills through practical application and design evaluations. Industry professionals deliver guest lectures to enhance students’ comprehension of the dynamic fashion landscape, providing valuable insights into current trends and market demands. With guidance from experienced faculty members, students refine their creative concepts and enhance their technical skills through personalized coaching and critiques in studio sessions. In the second 11-week level of the One-Year Vocational Program in Fashion Styling, students will utilize personal research and information to create engaging blogs, incorporating primary and secondary research sources. They will employ a variety of graphic and CAD design skills to produce visually captivating projects. Moreover, students will master pitching commercial media campaign proposals, focusing on emerging megatrends, and developing visual merchandising windows and advertising campaigns. They will also examine the complex interplay between art, fashion, and style within their cultural settings. These educational goals are designed to support student’s development as fashion stylists, equipping them with a tailored curriculum and practical experience in the next stage of the program.
At Istituto Marangoni Miami, we focus on immersing students in the art of fashion styling to offer valuable industry exposure and practical experience. Our Vocational Program in Fashion Styling, Level 2, is designed to provide a thorough understanding of market dynamics, preparing students for industry demands. Through immersive learning, students collaborate with industry professionals and access a network of over 80 luxury houses in the Miami Design District and beyond. They participate in hands-on projects like luxury brand runway styling and fashion photography editorial shoots, gaining practical knowledge and honing skills for success in the field. Our dedicated Career Services team provides personalized guidance in résumé development, mock interviews, and job applications to prepare students for successful fashion styling careers upon graduation.
Situated in the center of the Design District, our Istituto Marangoni Miami campus is housed in a contemporary seven-story building. Each level is customized to cater to the diverse requirements of our students and create an atmosphere conducive to fostering creativity and facilitating learning. Our amenities encompass classrooms for theory sessions, a well-equipped photography studio, an atelier for design projects, and computer labs equipped with industry-standard software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, as well as Clo3D for digital design. Furthermore, we provide various resources to aid students in their academic and professional growth, including an extensive physical and virtual library offering research materials and essential references. If you want to join our Vocational Program in Fashion Styling, Level 2, the first step is to book an appointment with an admissions representative to review the admissions process and program offerings. Afterwards, fill out the Online Application. Applying to a second level of a vocational program, students must submit a portfolio for review. When you finish, you will get an email with registration instructions, including document submission and visa application for eligible candidates. International students will receive help with the visa application process from our Designated School Official (DSO). Once your registration is complete, you will get assistance with housing options, orientation, and other important information.
