In our Vocational Program in Fashion Business, Level 1, students explore the fashion industry by studying its historical background and business structure. They use various market research techniques to comprehend the business and economic fundamentals within the industry, analyzing both large-scale and small-scale business settings to recognize essential factors impacting fashion business operations. Fundamental marketing concepts are presented and used in practical situations, including discussing current topics such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the fashion sector. Furthermore, students investigate the complex connection between fashion and different art forms, gaining a holistic understanding of the industry’s interconnected components.

Learning Outcomes

After finishing the Fashion Business program, students will understand the fashion industry deeply, encompassing the entire process from design to marketing. This encompasses mastering clothing creation, fabric choices, quality assurance, and honing creative abilities. The program also explores brand development, storytelling, consumer conduct, and market trends to position brands strategically in the competitive fashion arena.

The program offers hands-on experience through real-life case studies, challenging students’ analytical and problem-solving skills. It also emphasizes creating comprehensive business strategies and implementing retail plans for fashion entrepreneurial triumph. Our fashion and design school is dedicated to creating valuable industry connections for our students. With 80+ partnerships with luxury brands in the Miami Design District, our students have unique access to real-world experiences and insights. Our regular networking events bring industry professionals to our campus, allowing students to expand their networks. We provide exclusive access to volunteer, internship, and job opportunities, empowering students to gain hands-on experience and start their careers in the fashion industry.

Additionally, we offer tailored seminars to equip students with the skills and knowledge to navigate this dynamic industry confidently. From creating an outstanding portfolio to mastering professional networking, our comprehensive approach ensures that students graduate ready to succeed in the competitive fashion business world and beyond.

Facilities and Resources

Situated in the dynamic Design District, our Istituto Marangoni Miami location is housed in a modern seven-floor structure meticulously planned to meet the varied requirements of our students and serve as a stimulating environment for learning and innovation. Our facilities feature specially designed classrooms, an advanced photography studio, a design workshop, and computer labs equipped with leading software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Clo3D for digital design. Additionally, we provide a range of resources to support students’ academic and professional advancement, including a comprehensive physical and online library stocked with research materials and crucial references. How To Apply

To join our Vocational Program in Fashion Business, Level 1, begin by completing the online application. Following this, you will get an email guiding you through the registration process, including document submission and visa applications for eligible candidates. Our Designated School Official (DSO) will assist international students with visa procedures. Once enrolled, we offer support for accommodation choices, orientation, and necessary details. CURRICULUM

The 11-Week Fashion Business Level 1 provides a well-rounded understanding of the fashion industry, covering marketing, branding, trend analysis, and business principles. Students delve into communication strategies, brand development, and financial aspects while studying trend forecasting, consumer behavior, and market dynamics. By combining theory and practical applications, students graduate with the necessary skills to excel in various roles within the fashion business.

Born and raised in the German countryside, Annette Felder lived in Amsterdam and traveled through Europe and India before studying at London’s Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. After graduating from St. Martins in 2006, Annette co-founded the fashion brand Felder Felder together with her twin sister Daniela Felder, which won them an on-schedule slot at London Fashion Week, New Gen awards for three consecutive seasons and a nomination for the prestigious British Fashion Awards. In 2014, Annette and Daniela dedicated their brand to showcasing positive solutions for a more responsible business model within the fashion industry. Steering away from seasonal collections and wholesale, they shifted their focus to vegan, responsible textile innovations and bespoke production, avoiding overproduction and wastage. Furthermore, Felder Felder has been creating future fashion concepts for clients such as BMWi, Deutsche Bahn, Formula E, and Dr. Hauschka, merging innovation, design, and education through exhibitions, panel discussions, and workshops as part of their continued commitment to purposeful business and communication. What are the requirements for applying to the 11-Week Fashion Business programs?
Individuals interested in our fashion business courses must be 18 or have a high school diploma. While prior experience in fashion business is not mandatory, an enthusiasm for creativity and knowledge is crucial.
How Do I Enroll in the Vocational Programs?
To begin your enrollment process in our programs, arrange a meeting with our admissions staff to discuss program details and requirements. Following this discussion, you can submit your online application, with the USD 1000 registration fee deducted from the total tuition. Alongside your application, you will be required to provide the following admission documents: identification, a resume, an English test, a bank statement, and a sponsor letter, if necessary. You will receive comprehensive guidance via email following the meeting with your admissions specialist, who will guide you through the process.
Can international students join the 11-Week Programs provided at Istituto Marangoni Miami?
Yes, International students can enroll in the 11-Week level course. We provide the M1 visa for international students. Our Designated School Official will guide you through the process.
