CURRICULUM

Istituto Marangoni Miami offers a first-rate curriculum and learning experience as a top fashion school for all of its students in every program. Students in the Master of Fashion & Luxury Brand Management program will complete a total of 36 credits. The program consists of various fashion management courses that allow students to understand the fashion business. In this case, the fashion & luxury brand management master’s focuses on marketing strategies and analysis, digital and media planning, creative product production, and performance, branding, and brand innovation management in order to establish a strong business brand. Each class is sized to approximately 15-20 students so that instructors can fully focus on the individual student’s needs and give personalized attention.

Industry Project & Luxury Fashion II

Students will study the strategic brand management
process. This starts with conducting brand audits to identify strengths and weaknesses of brands, developing brand strategies, setting key performance indicators and defining execution plans. Branding topics such as brand equity, brand personality, brand identity and brand extensions will be studied, and students will be given the opportunity to research and critically analyze the application to luxury brands identifying key success factors and pitfalls. The Unit also explores contemporary branding topics such as digital branding, brand experience as well as rebranding, corporate social responsibility and globalization. Entrepreneurship in fashion and design. Innovation is necessary to address the many challenges of our ever-evolving world. Entrepreneurship is the creation or extraction of economic value. With this definition, entrepreneurship is viewed as change, generally entailing risk beyond what is normally encountered in starting a business, which may include blue sky thinking within the creative sector. An entrepreneur is an individual who creates and/or invests in one or more businesses, bearing most of the risks and enjoying most of the rewards. The capstone project represents the culmination of a student’s academic learning and may take a variety of forms. Students may select a course of personal and professional interest and relevance and conduct and document an in-depth investigation into the topic. Students will meet with a designated supervisor to support them through the development of their project. The outcome may be a final collection, a product, a presentation, a short film or an academic paper that will be presented and orally defended to a panel of tutors and experts in the field. Students will develop a visual creative design vocabulary in order to articulate a design identity through their final innovative collection. Students will build international visibility by presenting a luxury final collection to a panel of industry leaders in fashion, design, and art. Michelle Rofe was born in Mexico but moved to Israel at a very early age. She was Israel national champion in gymnastics and participated and won several international competitions. Being a gymnast allowed her to travel the world and learn about different cultures. She always loved fashion and started her formal fashion education in San Antonio-Texas, graduating cum laude from the fashion management and design program. After her graduation, she worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years first for a catalog business and later for a fashion ready to wear company. In the last 12 years, she has been working as a professor teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the fashion and graphic design programs. Michelle Rofe has her master’s degree in graphic design from MIU. She believes that these two art disciplines complement each other in many ways. She also works as a co-producer and editor for a media production company. Sofía Agostini is an independent fashion journalist and an adjunct faculty professor at the Istituto Marangoni of Miami. She teaches Research Methods at the Master's level and Fashion Criticism & Digital Writing in the Introduction to Styling progressive course. She was part of the first cohort of Master's students to graduate from the school and is an active member of the Marangoni Miami community. Her dissertation, Where Have All the Tailors Gone?, was published in the fall 2021 issue of Fashion Studies Journal. Particularly interested in the history and growth of Latin American Fashion, Agostini has contributed several entries to the encyclopedia 'Raíces de la Moda' of Vogue México and written profiles on upcoming regional designers. Being a gymnast allowed her to travel the world and learn about different cultures. She always loved fashion and started her formal fashion education in San Antonio-Texas, graduating cum laude from the fashion management and design program. After her graduation, she worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years first for a catalog business and later for a fashion ready to wear company. In the last 12 years, she has been working as a professor teaching undergraduate and graduate students in the fashion and graphic design programs. Michelle Rofe has her master’s degree in graphic design from MIU. She believes that these two art disciplines complement each other in many ways. She also works as a co-producer and editor for a media production company. What are the tuition fees for the different programs at Istituto Marangoni Miami?
Tuition varies between programs. For our Associate's Degree, the tuition with fees included is $80,600 USD. The Bachelor’s Degree tuition at Istituto Marangoni Miami is $160,700 USD with fees included. The Master's degree is $53,120 USD in person and $37,450 USD online. What is an atelier?
An atelier is a private studio where a professional artist in the fine or decorative arts or an architect creates art alongside other peers under the master's guidance, in our case, under the guidance of our experienced faculty.
